This cell type is an GaInP2/GaAs/Ge on Ge substrate triple junction solar cell assembly (efficiency class 32%). The solar cell assembly is equipped with an discrete Si bypass diode, interconnectors and cover glass.

YIM provides 1U-6U cube satellite shelf-type GaAs solar panel products, and can be customized according to user needs. Micro-nano satellite solar panels, optional accessories: solar sensor, temperature sensor, magnetic torque device, MEMS gyroscope.

• Printed circuit board (PCB): Includes FR4 and multilayer ceramic plates.

• Aluminum-reinforced printed circuit board: Form PCB-Al-PCB, aluminum thickness by default 0.8mm;

• Kapton Aluminum: Aerospace Class Kapton, 6061 Aluminum.

Our solar cell is produced under european standard ECSS. 

Space Assemblies are space solutions with a higher integration level. Based on our high-efficiency solar cells of the 28% or 32%-Advanced class, the assemblies are additionally equipped with cover glasses and interconnectors.

The cell dimensions as well as the integrated bypass diode are the same as for the bare solar cells. The cover glass covers the whole area of cell and is fixed by bonding with a transparent adhesive onto the front side of the solar cell. The interconnectors are covered with silver, fixed by a sophisticated welding process and designed for LEO, MEO and GEO Missions. All used materials and components are space-qualified. In addition to our standard Solar Cell Assemblies, YIM SPACE offers various possibilities of customized solutions on individual requirements.
